Trial and Preliminary Course Science Exams

We are pleased to be again able to offer papers for the NSW Science syllabuses which will both maintain our industry leading standard and reflect the focus on skills and processes.

Our exam writers are Science teachers who are highly experienced in all facets of the exam process.

The Preliminary Course exams will be 2-hour papers with 20 multiple choice questions and 55 marks of short answer questions.

The Trial exams will be 3-hour papers with 20 multiple choice questions and 80 marks of short answer questions.

Extension Science Trial Exam

Our Extension Science Trial papers have been very well received, and we will again be offering a Trial paper for the Extension Science Course.

It will be a 2-hour paper, with format and focus closely reflecting the NESA guidelines, the sample materials and the past HSC exam papers.

This paper will be provided in PDF and Word format, and schools can elect to provide it to their students as a paper exam or may make the modifications necessary to present it through the school intranet as a computer-based exam.

All our papers:

  • are mapped to outcomes.
  • come with clear marking guidelines and sample answers.
  • include explanations or worked solutions for all multiple choice questions

Schools are free to modify or rebadge papers as they see fit, provided they observe the embargo period outlined below.

Delivery

Papers will be delivered by email to schools on Day 1 of Term 3.
They are provided in both Word and PDF format.
Please provide two email addresses on the order form. Ensure that they are clearly written and that they are addresses which will be current in July.

Payment

Invoices are sent with the papers, GST will be charged on all orders.

Embargo period

Papers can be used as exams at any time after delivery, but are not to be released to students, or used as study aids, before August 18th (Trials), or September 15th (Preliminary)
